Getting Off the Emotional Roller Coaster

This 11-week online skill-building course offers family members, friends, and partners of adults with depression, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and co-occurring substance use information about each of these disorders as well as skills in self-care, emotion regulation, validating communication, limit setting, and crisis management for violence, suicide, and self-injury. Participants are encouraged to attend a monthly ‘Graduate Group’ to continue to get support for using the skills taught.

Beyond Addiction: Supporting an Adult Son/Daughter – Skills for Hope and Effectiveness

This 6-week skill-building webinar series offers parents of adults with substance use and mental health challenges the opportunity to feel more hopeful and effective in how they respond while emphasizing self-care and self-regulation.  It will present evidence-based ideas and skills based on the books,      The Parent's 20 Minute Guide  (by the Center for Motivation and Change) and  Beyond Addiction:  How Science and Kindness Can Help People Change by J. Foote, C. Wilkens and N. Kosanke.
