Understanding Depression & Anxiety

In this 3-hour training, participants will gain an in-depth understanding of depression and anxiety, their risk factors, most common signs and symptoms and how to provide support to someone who may be experiencing these. Participants will also leave with a list of local resources and will engage in different skill-building activities including groups discussions and role playing. The topic is discussed within a recovery framework and the class is co-facilitated by a Certified Peer Specialist and a MH clinician.
