I am Robert Brisbon and after years of working in drug&alcohol rehabilitation, I now have an opportunity to broaden my perspectives and understanding of individual's diagnosed with co-occurring issues. The Friends Connection with it's unique rehabilitation model of recovery assistance has given me an opportunity to work with those individual's with co-occurring issues and to better understand those unique needs in the recovery process.

My name is Anthony Bowser and being the new kid on the block at the Friends Connection has been Great! As a Peer Support Counselor, I am given the opportunity to give back to the community what the community has given to me so freely. Walking with individuals who are trying to live a clean and sober lifestyle has enriched my own life, as well as, my outlook on the way that I live my life. I truly like the one-on-one contact I have with my program participants. It helps me keep the focus on them and not myself...because, it is all about helping them!

Hi my name is Javier Cintron. I am a Peer Support Specialist for the Friends Connection. This has been a great experience for me, working and helping people at the same time, is a blessing. In my personal time I enjoy traveling to new places. I am going to be a first time Dad in January and I am very excited about that! I am a loving and caring person who wants to make a difference in the lives of those people I meet. That's just a glimpse of me...The Friends Connection program staff and participants are a great bunch of people to be associated with. Thank you for having me.

Hello, my name is Rasheta Duval and I came on board October 2, 2000 as a Administrative Coordinator for the Friends Connection. So far, my experience has been great and the staff are really appreciative of my services. I really enjoy my position and working with everyone at the program. I look forward to being here for some time.

Friends Connecting with Each Other and Nature

Frenzell Campbell

The staff of the Friends Connection (TFC) ventured out into nature's arms on our annual "Outward Bound" trip. The devoted staff of TFC took some time to bond with each other and experience something different when we took a trip to Bushkill Falls in the Pocono Mountains. Not only did we climb the mountains and enjoy the fresh air that nature offered us, we also climbed into a bond of friendship that one can only experience at TFC. We connected with each other through games, adventure, and plenty of dialogue, getting to know each other better than the perception of our everyday chitchat. We enjoyed sharing those parts of ourselves that too often we do not let our coworkers see. After enjoying this wonderful experience we all huddled together at a small diner on the side of the road and continued to connect. My experience being employed by the Friends Connection is not only a joy but it is an experience of family.

Together we stand.....Hand in hand we travel and experience, we share and care about those around us and realize how special we all are and how very much we all have to give....Thanks for the memories........
