The Friends Connection of Montgomery County Celebrates With an Open House

On Monday June 24, 2002 the Friends Connection of Montgomery County celebrated the official arrival of Mobile Psychiatric Rehabilitation in Montgomery County. The Friends Connection project, which has for many years been a successful mobile service in Philadelphia, has made the transition from the city to the suburbs. Our offices are located at 700 East Main Street in Norristown and we are very excited to be here.

The turn out to our open house was fantastic! We were especially pleased by the support shown by the Friends Connection of Philadelphia. Joining us in our celebration was the Parents Involved Network (PIN) of Montgomery County and some of the families with whom they work. Speakers at the open house included Glenda Fine, Director of the Child and Adolescent Division, Jeanie Whitecraft, Division Director of Mobile Services, and Susan Rogers, Director of Special Projects. All of our speakers spoke of our staff members' dedication to the children, families, and adults who participate in our program services.

The Friends Connection of Montgomery County would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made our open house a success! We would also like to thank the provider community and the consumers with whom we work for allowing us to take this walk of recovery with them.

For more information on our program or to make a referral, please call 610-292-9922.
